The new 700 range of speakers from Bowers & Wilkins was announced back in September last year and we've been waiting eagerly to get our hands on something to review ever since. The range has always been important to Bowers & Wilkins and its customers, occupying the space between the relatively budget 600s and the astronomically priced 800s.

Our wait is over with reviewer Ed Selley putting the stand mount 705 S3 though its paces. And the very good news is that it lives up to the promise of a more all round dynamic performance.

"Without losing any of the virtues that we’ve come to associate with the 700 Series, the 705 S3 looks better, sounds better and plays nicer with more components than ever before. Some people might find them a little polite but there is no doubting that they are a formidable all-rounder."
