OK, so there’s outwardly not much to set Cambridge’s Special Edition network player apart from the original CXN 100: in fact, the addition of an HDMI eARC port for TV sound just about covers it. But then the original was already a superb buy, with intuitive high-quality playback from a wide range of online and local music sources via the excellent StreamMagic app, and that port for TV audio just cements that appeal with a handy extra layer of usefulness.
